I've come to the realization that I love cheap books! LOVE THEM! I just went to a library fundraiser and purchased two books for $2. AND, I'm going to the 75% sale Monday. Plus, I'm never embarrassed to say I'm reading a lot (unlike watching entire seasons of television shows - I'm slightly embarrassed about admitting that).

So, many of you know that one of my favorite things in the world is hearing about the childhood escapades of my friends. And one of my all time favorite stories is of toddler Liz attempting to slide down the laundry shute neked. I love the logic of children. (Hey, most things ARE easier when you're naked.) Clothes can be so constricting (see Liz's previous post). So I almost died when I read this. Like Liz learned at a very young age, taking off your clothes doesn't always solve your problems. I know it's been forever since I posted. This past week was my (LAST) spring break so there was a whole lotta nothing going on. I spent a vast majority of my break (1) sleeping - 10 hours of sleep a night is the new 7 hours of sleep a night; (2) eating out - German food is good, especially when consumed with beer; (3) watching Season 4 of "Alias" (not nearly as good as watching season 1, but it's spring break and I'm not picky); and (4) watching a lot of TV (I don't care what you think, So NoTORIous on VH1 is HILARIOUS! I definitely have a new found respect for Tori Spelling).

Anyways, she turns to us, the legal interns, and says "finding a job has been the worst experience of my life. I graduated in 2004, took the 2004 summer bar exam and haven't found a job...I had all sorts of fancy jobs and awards during law school, and I haven't found anything. Today I went to the Minneapolis Art Institute for some quality times. They had a special art exhibit titled "Villa America," which featured American modernist artists from 1900-1950.

I thought the art work was pretty sweet, but the exhibit design was, um, interesting. For example, they placed all the nude portraits in one room. There's nothing like walking into a room full of boobies, I always say...

So, I don't know if anyone has heard about how the Chronicles of Naria is being marketed to Christians...and how they have "sermon" ideas that inter-play with the story of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe?

Well, people...I got to experience such a sermon ON CHRISTMAS EVE!!! WHATEVER! It's just too weird for me to describe: there was a modern day "drama." And a dog as part of the drama (the best part of the service, mind you)...and well, I am just semi-speechless, I don't know what to say. I want to go back to my old church, with Christmas songs and Bible verses. At least then I'll know that the heck is going on!

I went to a U2 concert last night (yes, I know I had an exam this morning, thank you very much), and it was quite good. But the best part of my concert-going experience was sitting next to an old man. Now, this old man is by far and away the best fellow concert goer...he didn't call anyone on his cell phone or take pictures with his cell phone (I don't think he even brought a phone with him) AND he didn't make out with his lady friend!

From now on, I'm only going to concerts with old people (or at least people who act old, like me - I swear, my back is hurting from standing too much).

First, let me start out my saying: I'm NOT afraid of needles. No way. I thought acupuncture sounded interesting...and since an acupuncture therapist was at our school yesterday, I thought I'd give it a shot - no pun intended.
Anyways, to make a not-so-long-story shorter, I ended up fainting: twice! And I started sweating uncontrollably. Ewwwww. Before I fainted, it felt pretty cool - I had little needles in my ear and on the side of my neck (to help me de-stress and sleep better). Well, I slept pretty good last night...and I feel alright, so maybe it worked!

yea, that's waht i said.

my pooor sick ipod, that i paid $30 for shipping to have apple fix even though i still have a warrantee...is NOT FIXED AT ALL. it just died again before i could even install the new software that i have to reinstall!!

and now i'm listening to really bad hold music on the phone so i can yell at them.
even comcast picks up customer service calls right away.

i officially hate apple.

So i'm in the middle of finals, hell, aren't we all, but guess what? tomorrow i get to drive down to eugene for a settlement conference for work.

WHY would i do such a stupid thing, you ask?
easy! b/c this is probably the ONLY time in my entire law clerk career that i've been asked to actually participate in negotiations. like, i get to open my mouth. fancy.

so, don't get jealous, just because i get to spend the day in my car (in a suit, i might add) listening to NPR and pretending i'm thinking about admin. awesome.

I'm wearing the same clothes for the third day in a row. But, it's FINALS and I don't have time for personal hygiene.

So, I just took an exam this morning. I love exam days: when my exam is over, I'm too "tired" to do any other studying, and don't feel guilty for watching movies made in the early 90s (or Rachel Ray) at 1:00 in the afternoon (hey, "For Love or Money" is a GREAT Michael J. Fox movie. Check it out.
